Get your credit card ready, because Amazon Prime Day will officially kick off on Tuesday, July 11 at 3 a.m. ET and run through Wednesday, July 12. While we don't know what will go on sale, in the past, the deepest discounts have been on Alexa-enabled Echo devices, which will go on sale as early as June 21.
The two-day shopping extravaganza has been Amazon's biggest money-maker since it began in 2015. The sale marks down thousands of items across the entire site, with lightning deals popping up regularly, discounting items even more.

This year's event will be a bit different. Amazon plans to offer "invite-only" access for certain items that sell out quickly. Prime members can request an invitation to access discounts on items that usually sell out quickly. In a press release on Wednesday, the company noted that "Members who are selected will be notified during Prime Day with instructions on how to purchase the item at the exclusive deal price."
If you aren't already a Prime member and aren't interested in becoming a paying member, you can start a free trial to participate in Prime Day festivities. Just be sure to cancel your trial once the two-day event is over.
