Chat rooms are a feature on some websites that allow Internet users to interact with one another in real-time. They can be a great place to keep in touch with friends and family or meet new acquaintances. However, chat rooms are also a magnet for pedophiles and may have content unsuitable for children. Chat rooms and other websites with inappropriate content can be blocked using the security settings available in most Web browsers.
