PowerPoint is a visual medium, best used with images and little text.

Moving pictures may have been invented over a century ago, but video is now becoming a primary form of communication. The ability to include video clips in your PowerPoint presentation dramatically increases your palette of communication tools. One common type of video file uses the Motion Picture Experts Group encoding standard, fourth edition -- known as MPEG 4. These file types often have the MP4 file extension and with PowerPoint 2010 MP4 files will automatically be converted to play in the presentation as long as the free QuickTime player is installed on your computer.
