Your Kindle Fire enables you to connect to both private and public hot spots for downloading digital publications and apps and surfing the Web. Like your computer, your Kindle Fire receives an Internet Protocol address automatically when it connects to the router that broadcasts the Internet signal. Your Kindle Fire's IP address is unique, and you can use the address to keep track of your tablet's Internet usage on your router, if you wish. You can find the IP address within your Kindle Fire's wireless settings.
Step 1
Turn on your Kindle Fire, if it is off, and tap the wheel-shaped icon to access the tablet's Quick Settings. Tap "Wireless" to access the tablet's wireless settings.
