Whether you need to send a video to a friend, or receive a database from a co-worker, Yahoo email attachments can help you do it. Yahoo usually allows people to attach and receive files without incident. However, you may sometimes find it difficult or impossible to open or send an attachment. When that happens, the problem usually resides in your browser or in the attachment file itself.
Step 1
Verify that your attachment is not encrypted. Yahoo does not support encrypted files or files coded in such a way to keep unauthorized people from viewing it. Ask the sender to send an unencrypted version of the file if he sent you an encrypted one in the original message.

Step 2
Determine where your browser stores downloaded files. Your browser's help documentation can explain how to determine where that location is. The download location may change when browser settings are changed.
Step 3
Ensure that you use a browser that Yahoo supports. The company lists supported browsers as Chrome version 25 or newer, IE 9.0, Safari 4.0 or newer and Firefox 19 or newer. Download the latest version of one of those browsers if you still have attachment problems after trying other solutions.
