At times, it can be useful to know who is calling your landline phone. There are various ways to get the information. You can check a limited call log if you have a digital phone, but most landline phones only store up to 30 numbers. Older or more basic landline phones don't store numbers at all. You'll need to contact your carrier to get a longer record and more extensive history of the calls.
Step 1
Check your phone bill. Some landline companies give you a list of all the calls sent and received from your phone. If a call is received from a private number, it will not show the phone number.

Step 2
Look in your phone's menu. Digital handsets often have a call history that includes a limited number of calls sent and received. Look for an option called "Recent calls" or "Call log."
Step 3
Check the website of your landline carrier. Most carriers allow you to set up an account. You can view recent calls and copies of your bill. Look for a section called "Billing history" or "Recent calls."
Step 4
Call your carrier and ask for a copy of your call history. Ask to speak with customer care. The representative will verify your account with a password.
