How to Turn off Ringer on an AT&T E2116 Cordless Phone

The AT&T E2116 is a 2.4 GHz cordless phone and digital answering system. The cordless phone features call waiting, caller ID, speakerphone and a 30-number directory. While the phone's ringer volume can be adjusted to several different levels, you can turn off the ringer completely so it no longer makes an audible sound when the phone receives an incoming call. The phone's ringer options can be accessed in the handset's menu.

Step 1

Press the "Menu" button on the AT&T E2116 phone.

Press the up or down arrows until the phone's display says "Ringer Volume."

Press the "Select" button on the phone.
