Zipping a file is a way of compressing multiple files into a single one, taking up less space, and making it easier to email or transfer across the Internet. These compressed files become a ".zip" file. Unzipping is the process of extracting the original contents. If you have received a Zip file of pictures, unzipping the file and accessing the photos is fairly simple.
Step 1
Save the Zip file to your desktop (or folder of choice).

Right-click the Zip file.
Step 3
Select "Extract" from the context menu. The photos contained within the Zip file will unzip to a folder with the same name as the original Zip file.
